We are using five main data collection methods:
Baseline survey of students and staff about their awareness of the Compact
Audio diaries to obtain an in-depth and longitudinal student perspective on assessment literacy
Module evaluations (16 in total) to gather evidence of the perceptions by students of the impact of assessment innovations on their learning.
Data mining annual programme review documents to identify significant changes to assessment practices.
Focus groups to collect specific student assessment vernacular to further frame diary prompts and to look for evidence of assessment literacy.
You can download an Evaluation Matrix showing the mapping of data collection methods against the evaluation questions.
